Moffett Lorry Loader Forklift

This forklift training course is done on-site at your business premises. Training starts off around a laptop for the health & safety presentation, followed by a safety video. Then for the practical part it would be ideal if some empty pallets can be made available for use.

Course Levels

• Novice (Beginner)

• Experienced (Some use with no previous formal training)

• Refresher (Renewing a previously obtained licence)

Course Criteria

• Hazard awareness

• The operators’ safety code

• Safety video

• Test your knowledge

• Introduction to the forklift truck to be used

• Daily pre-use inspection & maintenance

• Care of batteries/LPG/Diesel trucks

• Controls and instruments

• Weight assessment / Stability Factors

• Starting, moving and stopping the truck

• Manoeuvring in open and confined area’s

• Operation of hydraulic controls

• Handling unladen and laden pallets

• Stacking/de-stacking – at various heights

• Loading and Unloading Procedures

• Practical test of basic operating skills

On successful completion of this Moffett forklift course, candidates will be issued with a certificate of training. This ensures you are compliant with UK law
